Venetia Higgins is a British artist and curator whose practice explores the intersection of history, craftsmanship and the natural world. She studied History of Art at the University of Edinburgh before working in the arts and conservation sector, later undertaking postgraduate study at the Royal Drawing School (2022).

Alongside her own artistic practice, Venetia has developed a distinctive programme of thematic exhibitions at The Gallery at Green & Stone, including Curios, Medieval Relics, Anima Mundi and Folklore, Myths & Legends. Bringing together artists across a wide range of disciplines, her exhibitions celebrate traditional making, material culture and the enduring power of storytelling.

Inspired by medieval manuscripts, folklore and the natural world, Venetia's own work frequently incorporates fragments of historical materials, collaborating with a book conservator to source manuscript leaves and a specialist framer working with reclaimed ancient timbers. Her paintings reinterpret historical craftsmanship through a contemporary lens, creating intimate works that celebrate both the beauty of the natural world and the stories we tell about it.
