Details: A field found button anchors this elegy of fragments-once worn once fastened to a body now orphaned from its purpose. Around it, 17th Century religious text murmurs with disillusionment, its voice faded but not silenced. River found pottery shards encircle the relic like a domestic ghost - vessels of nourishment, now broken and adrift. 

The frame made from timber from the Hoo peninsula, likely, part of a boat carries the memory of passage, of stories submerged and scattered.

These are the cast off remains of ordinary lives. Not relics of grandeur, but of intimacy. A quiet lament for what we leave behind - and what refuses to be forgotten.
